Potato Bell Pepper Masala | Potato Capsicum Masala

Ingredients:


For Paste:


  • 2 tbsp peanuts

  • 8 to 10 cashews

  • 1 tsp fennel seeds

  • 4 cloves

  • 1-inch cinnamon

  • 2 green chillies

  • Little water to make a paste


Method:


Grind all the above ingredients into a fine paste and keep that aside.


Ingredients:


  • 3 tbsp oil

  • 2 large onions (finely chopped)

  • 2 large tomatoes (finely chopped)

  • 1 tsp ginger & garlic paste

  • Salt to taste

  • 3 Large potatoes (peeled & cubed)

  • 1 large green bell pepper / Capsicum

  • 2 tbsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • Water


Method:


  1. Heat oil in a pan, add onion and saute for a minute, and then add ginger garlic paste saute.

  2. Add tomatoes saute, cover and cook for 2 minutes.

  3. Add potato, salt, and little water. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until potatoes are soft and tender.

  4. Add coriander powder, chilli powder, and turmeric powder mix well.

  5. Add masala paste and some more water. Mix well and simmer for 2 minutes.

  6. Add in capsicum, mix well. Cover and cook that for 2 more minutes.
